Why do you believe what you believe…?

Why do you believe what you believe about the Bible?

There is no Old and New Covenant/Testaments per-se. There are simply multiple covenants and the one that Yeshua/Jesus made is the “newest” one we have. People take the Bible and divide it by before and after the birth of Messiah. Why we do that today can be traced back to Marcion. “Marcion was the first one to create a “New” Testament. He believed that the “Old” Testament should be discarded, and his influence is with us to this day”(1). This whole separation was compounded between believers in Yeshua who are of Israelite blood and non-Israelite blood by Rome going after Jews, Jewish Christians and Non-Jewish Christians because they kept the commandments such as keeping the Sabbath and eating Kosher. Some Non-Jewish Christians split off from their Jewish Christians brother by adopting Sunday Worship and so on. Later on around 1800 that the false understanding/interpreting of the Bible called Dispensationalism which, “is an evangelical, futurist, Biblical interpretation that understands God to have related to human beings in different ways under different Biblical covenants in a series of “dispensations,” or periods in history”(2), perpetuated this divide. Finally, the false view of Scripture, “Supersessionism (also called replacement theology or fulfillment theology) is a Christian theological view on the current status of Jews and Judaism. Supersessionism designates the belief that the Christian Church has replaced the Israelites as God’s chosen people and that the Mosaic covenant has been replaced or superseded by the New Covenant. This view directly contrasts with dual-covenant theology which holds the Mosaic Covenant as valid for Jews while Christianity or the Noahic Covenant valid for gentiles. While supersessionism has been common throughout the history of Christianity and remains a common assumption among Christians, since the Holocaust it has been rejected by mainstream Christian theologians and denominations” (3).

Your words define who you are. Therefore God Does Not Change In This Regard. Remember the WORD/MEMRA/LOGOS came and dwelt amoung us!

The Preeminent One of Israel does not go back on his word or change his mind, for he is not a human being who changes his mind.” 1 Samuel 15:29 (NET)

Then remember how Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah said his “words” are not his own?

So Jesus replied, “My teaching is not from me, but from the one who sent me. John 7:16 (NET)

“For I have not spoken from myself, but The Father who sent me, he gave me commandments, what I will say and what I will utter.” John 12:49 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English)

Yeshua said in John 14:28, “You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.”

The Apostle Paul says that Yeshua, “will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power.”

So please stop lifting up Yeshua and His words as if He is greater then the Father and/or that His words override the Father’s words. Especially when Yeshua, himself, said, “My teaching is not from me, but from the one who sent me.”

When Yeshua had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since You have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom You have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know You the only true God, and Yeshua Messiah whom You have sent. I glorified You on earth, having accomplished the work that You gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with You before the world existed.

Yeshua said in John 17:21-22, “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,  that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

“For all of you who were baptized into Messiah have clothed yourselves with Messiah. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua. And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.” Galatians 3:27-29

If you are a “Christian” then you are a part of Israel!

Native-born Israelites and foreigners are equal before YHWH and are subject to the same decrees. This is a permanent law for you, to be observed from generation to generation. The same instructions and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigners living among you.” Number 15:15-16

Everything is Echad/One. One God, Messiah, Torah/Word/Bible, Truth, People!
